Rob received his Ph.D. in psychology and has worked in clinical, community mental health, and private practice settings for 10 years with individuals, couples, and groups. He has additionally developed a specialization in providing support to clients coping with spiritual struggles. His practice primarily consists of individual psychotherapy with adults and older adolescents. He is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO).
Rob works collaboratively with clients to develop effective ways of thinking, feeling, and, importantly, engaging in meaningful lives using their individual values. He is a generalist whose practice is comprised of clients who have wide-ranging concerns and backgrounds. Treatment is provided in an open and respectful environment to adults of all ages as well as older adolescents. Rob provides treatment that is tailored to his client’s presenting problems and fosters open discussions with clients about the therapy process.
Rob practices integrative psychotherapy that incorporates a variety of approaches, including behavioral, cognitive, emotion-focused, and mindfulness-based practices. During early sessions, he works with clients to develop a clearer picture of their concerns. Over the course of therapy, Rob often works with clients on responding differently to their distress and developing a greater sense of their own values, with the aim of creating a more fulfilling life.
