I have both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work from McGill University and I am a registered social worker with more than 20 years of social work experience primarily in health care.
I specialize in the treatment of chronic disease management and have experience counseling individuals who suffer from anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, self esteem, work and family struggles etc.
I utilize a wide range of counseling modalities including cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness based therapy, goal setting to effect behaviour change, brief action planning and narrative therapy.
I draw on individual’s strengths to achieve a solution focused direction that is unique to every person’s experience and reality. I also use therapy techniques to assist individuals in identifying negative thought patterns in order to replace them with more positive constructive thoughts.
