Therapy that
meets you where
you are.
Aurora Village is the wellness branch of Newmarket Therapy Centre — where Master's-level registered psychotherapy is deepened by somatic bodywork, breathwork, and nervous system healing.
Something brought you here today. Maybe it's anxiety that won't quiet down. The weight of trauma you've been carrying too long. Or simply knowing you deserve to feel more like yourself again.
That instinct is worth listening to. At Aurora Village Therapy & Wellness Centre, we help people in Aurora and across York Region find real relief — not just from symptoms, but from the deeper patterns keeping them stuck.
Our clinic is located at 15017 Yonge Street, Suite 200, inside the Aurora Medical Centre at Yonge & Kennedy. We offer individual, couples, family, and trauma therapy — alongside somatic bodywork and wellness programs that support the work you're doing in session. Because lasting change requires the mind, heart, and body to heal together.
"This space was built with one intention — to create a place in Aurora where people feel truly safe to heal."
Your psychotherapy team.
Every therapist at Aurora Village is Master's-level and registered with the CRPO or OCSWSSW. Not sure who's right for you? Susan, our Client Care Manager, will match you personally — free of charge, before your first session.

Individual
Therapy
The foundation of our work. One-on-one therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief, self-worth, and the patterns that hold you back. Your therapist is matched to you by Susan — our Client Care Manager — before your first session.
Couples & Family
For partners and families working to rebuild connection, navigate conflict, or heal together.
Trauma & EMDR
Specialized work for PTSD, complex trauma, and the imprints left by difficult experiences.
Anxiety & Depression
Evidence-based approaches for the struggles most people walk through our doors carrying.
Relationships & Self
Attachment patterns, boundaries, identity — the longer arc of knowing yourself.
"Between you and the person you love, there is a field. Our work is tending to it — together."
Real healing happens
in contact.
Relationships are living things. They hold our deepest longings for closeness — and the places we've been wounded in the reaching for it.
Our couples work begins with a different question than most therapy asks. Not "what is wrong with this relationship?" — but "what is trying to happen between you, and what is getting in the way?"
We work in the moment, with what is alive between you in the room — the look, the turning away, the reach that didn't quite land. Underneath every frustration is a longing; underneath every shutdown is a protection that once kept someone safe. When those attachment wounds and patterns of protection are met with care — in real time, in each other's presence — something begins to soften. Contact becomes possible again.
This is the work of building something both people can trust — a relationship where both of you can be fully seen, and still chosen. Whether you're navigating a specific rupture, rebuilding after disconnection, or simply wanting to go deeper together, our couples program meets you there.
Trauma lives in the nervous system — that's where we go to heal it.
A comprehensive, multi-modal program for adults carrying the weight of unprocessed trauma — PTSD, complex trauma, childhood wounds, attachment injuries, and nervous system dysregulation.
Most people come to trauma therapy after they've already tried talk therapy and found it didn't reach deep enough. That's not your fault — and it's not a failure of therapy. Trauma is stored in the body and the nervous system, not just in the thinking mind. Real healing requires approaches that go where talk cannot.
Our trauma healing program is a staged, integrative approach. We begin by carefully assessing what needs to be processed, build your capacity to stay present with difficult material, then move into the deeper nervous-system and attachment work that creates lasting change.
A careful look at the traumatic memories, patterns, and triggers that need processing — so we know exactly what we're working with.
Tools for safety first. Grounding, resourcing, and nervous-system regulation practices you'll carry into every session and every part of your life.
Working directly with the body to release the physiological charge of trauma — what the nervous system has been holding for years or decades.
Low Energy Neurofeedback — a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps the brain shift out of chronic stuck states back toward regulation.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing — one of the most researched trauma treatments, used to reprocess specific memories at the root.
Ear-based acupuncture that calms the vagal nervous system through the ear's neural pathways — gentle, effective, and deeply regulating for trauma recovery.
Emotional Transformation Therapy combined with attachment-repair work — healing the wounds beneath the symptoms, where early relational injury lives.
Internal Family Systems and parts work — meeting the protective and wounded parts of you with compassion and bringing them into integration.
For clients ready to accelerate their healing — a full-day immersive session combining multiple modalities to do in one day what typically takes months of weekly therapy. Limited availability. Speak with our clinical team about whether an intensive is right for you.
"Trauma is not what happens to you. Trauma is what happens inside you, as a result of what happens to you."

coming this season.
Our experiential programs run throughout the year — held in our Aurora group space. Register early, as space is limited for each offering.
May Breathwork & Drum Session
A merging of two powerful modalities to process stress, trapped energy, and emotions in your body.
We begin with active Conscious Connected Breathwork (Circular Breathing) — a vigorous breath practice known to create cathartic emotional releases and shift what needs to move in your body, mind, and emotions through the power of your own breath. We then transition into a grounding Inspired Drum Healing & Journey, for you to continue shifting and healing, or to receive the wisdom and guidance you need.
No previous experience necessary. An email will be sent to participants the week before with what to bring.
The Sunday Slowdown
A nervous system and somatic-based group to ground, recharge, and restore your connection to well-being.
Life is increasingly chaotic and fast-paced, which can disconnect us from our body and our soul — our somatic self. It is essential that we have time and space to slow down and call our energy back to ourselves.
Join us for this monthly in-person group session, presented in an inspired guided meditation format. Each session, Jodie intuits a theme and offers a guided meditation including sound healing and messages where needed. The focus is always on reconnecting to our body-soul and grounding our nervous system — how we best achieve regulation in our very dysregulated world. A wonderful preparation for the week ahead.
The Men's Workshop
Four archetypes. One deeper question: what kind of man do you want to become?
A workshop for men ready to do real inner work — not surface-level self-help, but the deeper inquiry into who you are, who you've been trained to be, and who you're ready to become. Grounded in the four archetypes of mature masculinity, we explore the energies that live in every man: the King, the Warrior, the Magician, and the Lover — and where each of them is strong, shadowed, or asleep in you right now.
This is hands-on, experiential work. You'll sit in circle with other men doing the same work. You'll examine the patterns running your life — the places you overreach, the places you collapse, the places you numb out. And you'll leave with a clearer sense of how to walk in your power, show up in your relationships, and move toward the goals that actually matter to you.
The Couples Intensive Weekend
Three months of weekly therapy — compressed into two transformative days, held in the same room.
A small-cohort immersive for couples ready to do deeper work than a 50-minute session allows. You'll spend the weekend with three other couples and two of our senior clinicians, alternating between guided work with your own partner and shared circle practices where you learn from the moments unfolding around you.
Each couple works one-on-one with a facilitator in present-moment experiments designed to surface the longings and protections beneath your repeating arguments. Using body-based awareness and emotional attunement, we track what is alive in the room, in this moment — the breath that caught, the reach that faltered, the softening that wanted to happen. This is the work of re-establishing real contact: being fully seen by your partner, and choosing each other again from there.
